MY STORY
I am a communication specialist who has dedicated her life to observing and understanding how humans interact. Whether they do so in person, online, through words, images, and even sounds.
My journey includes experience working for government agencies, in higher education, and as a private consultant. I am fascinated by how humans craft and understand messages, and how communication is at the core of every human experience.

MEDIA SCHOLAR
I am a trained textual analyst who has been recognized by the National Communication Association. My work as a scholar has crossed international borders and languages. I have published, co-edited, and presented scholarship that explores issues of justice and how they relate to media representation and consumption.
COMMUNICATION EXPERT
I have dedicated almost two decades to the study and professional practice of communication. I have assisted and trained a variety of individuals from government officials to higher education administrators, from emerging communication professionals to regular communication enthusiasts. My work as a communication expert has led me to teach in North America, Latin America, and Asia.
DEI EDUCATOR
I study words, language, sounds, and visual representation. All of these can be crafted, produced, or reproduced in a way that invites ethical and fair collaboration.

Weaponizing any of them, however, can, and has led entire societies to division, antagonism, violence, and marginalization.
